Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)- LLI update

Published On: March 13, 2020

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

In light of the current Novel COVID-19 situation Learning Languages Institute is taking preventative measures to protect all our staff and students.

Effective March 18th 2020 all LLI classes have been moved to our virtual online platform.  This has been a  great success as students can log in remotely and join these classes with their fellow classmates and LLI teachers.

Students scheduled to begin classes in April may also join our classes remotely from their home country.

We have already initiated policies where new arriving students from high risk regions of the world self-isolate for 14 days prior to beginning classes.  In addition, we are monitoring and in contact with The London Middlesex Health unit to make sure we are providing the most up to date information to our students and staff.

LLI’s TVO\ILC High school program, LLI’s TESL Certification and LLI’s Diploma in Software will all move to full online classes effective March 17th.  These courses are already offered in an online format and are approved by The Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities for online delivery. There will be no disruption to program delivery. Students will have full virtual support and contact with teachers and facilitators.

For the next two weeks all office meetings will be virtual (email, phone, or skype), and we ask that you contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.  We can also provide all the details on how to seek medical advice or attention if necessary.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.  These necessary steps and procedures will result in increased student and staff safety while still providing a great learning experience.

LLI will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses and hopefully comes to a conclusion in the near future.
